Is there a fee to join Activeline?

No. Applying to the community is free. Some advanced programs or events may carry costs, but core membership and applying for productions never does.

Do I need professional experience to apply?

No. We review every application on potential and passion. Several of our department heads started as interns with zero credits.

Question 3

How do I submit my film or series idea?

Accepted Answer

Use the Apply page and select “Project Submission”. A one-page pitch and a short video or deck is plenty. We respond to every submission within four weeks.

Question 4

Will you sign an NDA before I pitch?

We do not sign NDAs for initial pitches, and we never accept unsolicited full scripts. Pitch documents only at first stage.

Question 5

Are acting roles paid?

Accepted Answer

All principal roles on our productions are paid in line with industry agreements. Background and some community productions may be expenses-only, and we always state this up front.

Where are productions filmed?

Accepted Answer

Most of our slate shoots in and around Sydney, with documentary and select feature work travelling nationally and internationally.
